Cloud Nine Stays began after years of traveling around the country with our kids for baseball tournaments. Staying in dozens of Airbnbs — some great, some not — gave us a clear sense of what makes a home feel right for traveling families.
Sean and Heather Thompson started Cloud Nine Stays to bring that same comfort to other families visiting Kansas City. Our goal is simple: create welcoming, well-equipped homes near the places people actually travel for — Homefield, the Legends, and Kansas City's best entertainment.
We're a small operation by design. We plan to grow thoughtfully — adding one to three properties per year — so we can stay personally involved with each one.
Sean is a licensed Kansas real estate salesperson, which helps us approach property acquisition with care and a local perspective.
The Thompson family is a big sports family — all three sons playing travel baseball growing up. So trust us when we say that we understand the lifestyle that surrounds the ballfield. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns, or if you just want to talk ball.
